Two-Day Luxor Tour Itinerary
Start and Pick-up Time: A Landious Travel representative will pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada at approximately 5:00 AM.
Destination: After picking up all arrivals, the bus departs for Luxor. It passes through Safaga and Qena on its way to Luxor. The resort city of Safaga is located 45 miles south of Hurghada on the Red Sea coast. Meanwhile, Qena is located 220 km away in the Nile Valley. The journey from central Hurghada to Luxor takes approximately four hours.
Day 1 East Luxor Program
Visit Karnak Temple. Once you arrive in Luxor, we’ll show you the Karnak Temple, dedicated to the god Amun. This temple is the largest in Egypt and the entire ancient world. It’s located in the City of Living – East Luxor. Your guide will begin his explanation at this temple. He will then show you the most frequently visited sites in this large complex. This complex contains various temples and buildings inside.
Lunch. After visiting Karnak Temple in East Luxor, you’ll enjoy lunch at a fine restaurant.
Visit Luxor Temple. Afterwards, drive to Luxor Temple to admire this magnificent temple.
Hotel Selection. At the end of the day 1 program, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Day 2 Program in West Luxor
Breakfast and Explore the West Bank. The second day of the tour begins with breakfast at your hotel; then, head to the West Bank of the Nile.
Visit the Temple of Amenhotep III. Once you arrive on the West Bank, your tour continues with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon. These two magnificent statues stand at the entrance to the Temple of Amenhotep III.
Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut. Next, the bus goes to the beautiful Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This magnificent temple is located in Deir el-Bahari. The ancient Egyptians were able to carve this three-story temple into the rock. It is worth noting that there are many types of tombs around the site. You can also see two other temples of Thutmose III and Amenhotep Nebhepetre on the right side.
