Hurghada trips: your questions

Which hotels do you pick up from?

Hotel pickup and drop-off are available from hotels in Hurghada and are included on most of our trips. Your exact pickup time depends on where your hotel is, and we confirm it after booking. If you are staying outside Hurghada, send us your hotel name on WhatsApp before booking and we will confirm whether pickup is possible.

How do I pay for a trip?

You pay online on our website when you book, through Paymob, an Egyptian payment provider. You choose a 30% deposit or full payment (100%); with a deposit you pay the rest on the morning of your trip. Fixed prices are shown on each trip page, for example €45 for Orange Bay or €60 for full-day diving; trips marked 'On request' are priced once we know your date and group.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the trip, with a full refund to your original payment method. Between 24 and 12 hours before, we keep 50% of the booking value. Less than 12 hours before, or if you do not show up, we keep 100%. Private trips and special arrangements need 48 hours' notice, and other conditions may apply. Full terms are on our booking policy page.

What should I bring on a boat trip?

For sea trips bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and comfortable clothes. A waterproof phone case or camera is useful. Certified divers should bring their certification card. For desert trips, wear closed comfortable shoes and take a light jacket for cooler evenings. Snorkeling equipment is included on our snorkeling trips.

When is the best time of year for the Red Sea in Hurghada?

Hurghada works all year. The sea is warmest from July to October, around 28°C in August, and coolest in February and March at about 21–22°C. Spring and autumn give warm water without peak summer heat. Winter days are mild and sunny but evenings are cool, so many snorkelers wear a shorty wetsuit. Rain is almost non-existent.

Are your trips suitable for children?

Children are welcome on most of our trips, including the snorkeling and island boats, private boats and family outings. Child prices and minimum ages depend on the trip and on the boat or activity operator's safety rules, so please send your children's ages when you book. Some activities, such as quad biking or diving, have their own age limits.

Can non-swimmers join a snorkeling trip?

Yes, non-swimmers can join our boat trips and enjoy the island stops, lunch and the sea views. Life jackets are worn on our private boats, and our snorkeling guides help guests in the water; please tell the guide you cannot swim before you get in. The glass boat or submarine and the Grand Aquarium show the reef with no swimming at all.

I get seasick. Which trip should I choose?

If you get seasick, choose a trip with less time at sea, such as the glass boat or submarine, or go ashore with a desert safari, horse riding or the aquarium. On full-day boats, sit in the middle of the deck, look at the horizon and eat a light breakfast. Many travellers take seasickness tablets before departure; ask your pharmacist which suits you.
