Private Speedboat Trip in Hurghada
Your own speedboat and captain for the day. Snorkel a Red Sea reef, then stop at an island or beach such as Orange Bay, at your own pace.
The private speedboat trip gives your group a speedboat with a professional captain and a snorkeling stop. The price is €250 per boat, not per person, and the day is flexible, up to a full day. Snorkeling equipment, life jackets, hotel pickup and drop-off are included. An island stop such as Orange Bay is possible when conditions allow.
What is the Private Speedboat Trip?
A private speedboat in Hurghada is the fastest way to get a Red Sea day that feels like your own. You pay €250 for the boat, not per person, and the only people on board are your group and the captain.
The day is simple: we pick you up at your hotel, you board at Hurghada Marina, and the captain takes you to a snorkeling reef and then to an island or beach stop. Because the boat is fast, you spend less time getting there and more time in the water.
It suits couples who want a quiet day away from the big group boats, families with children who prefer their own schedule, and friends who want to set the pace. If you need more space, shade or lunch on board, look at our Private Boat & Custom Sea Trip instead.

What to bring
What €250 per boat really means
Most Hurghada boat trips are sold per person. This one is not. The private speedboat price is €250 for the boat, and your group shares it. Two people pay €250; a family of five pays the same €250 for the boat.
That price covers the captain, hotel pickup and drop-off in Hurghada, the snorkeling stop with equipment, life jackets and water or soft drinks according to the boat arrangement.
What is not in the price: island entrance or environmental fees where a site charges them, lunch (unless your package includes it), photos and videos, and personal spending. We tell you about any island fee before the trip so you know exactly what to bring.
How many people fit? That depends on the specific boat and the safety regulations, so send us your group size and we will confirm the right speedboat.
Booking is simple: choose your date, hotel and number of guests on the booking page and pay online; we confirm the boat and pickup time after booking.
Speedboat to Orange Bay and the islands
The island stop on most private speedboat days is Orange Bay, a white-sand beach with shallow turquoise water on Giftun Island, just off Hurghada. The Giftun islands are a protected area, which is why island or environmental fees can apply and why visitor rules are stricter there.
A speedboat reaches the islands much faster than the big group boats, so you can arrive before or after the main crowds, depending on the day. If Orange Bay is busy or the sea makes it a poor choice, the captain can suggest another available beach or island.
Prefer a full group day with lunch and two snorkel stops? Compare our shared trips to Orange Bay, Giftun Island and Paradise Island.
Want to keep the day short? Tell us when you want to be back at the hotel and the captain will plan around it. Want a longer day with lunch? Ask about the custom private boat.
Is a speedboat comfortable? Honest tips before you book
Speedboats are small and quick. On calm mornings the ride is smooth and fun. When the wind picks up, the boat can bounce over the waves, and spray is part of the deal. Sit towards the back if you want a softer ride, and tell the captain if anyone in the group is nervous or prone to seasickness.
Shade on a speedboat is limited to a canopy, so bring a hat, sunscreen and a light long-sleeved top. Put phones and cameras in a waterproof case.
If anyone in your group has back problems, is pregnant, or simply wants a calm deck to relax on, a larger private boat is the better choice.
Snorkel tips for a private boat: the captain chooses a reef that suits the day's wind and your group's swimming level. Non-swimmers and children can snorkel with a life jacket on, and you can stay in the water as long or as short as you like. Never stand on or touch the coral; it is alive and cuts easily.
Questions about this trip
How much does a private speedboat cost in Hurghada?
Our private speedboat trip costs €250 per boat, not per person. It includes the captain, hotel pickup and drop-off in Hurghada, a snorkeling stop with equipment, life jackets and water or soft drinks according to the boat arrangement. Island or environmental fees and lunch are extra unless your package includes them.
How many people can go on the private speedboat?
The maximum number of guests depends on the specific boat selected and the safety regulations that apply to it. The trip suits couples, families, friends and small private groups. Tell us your group size when you book and we will confirm a suitable boat.
Can the private speedboat go to Orange Bay?
Yes, Orange Bay is a typical island stop, depending on your chosen itinerary and the sea conditions on the day. If conditions are not right, the captain will suggest another available island or beach. Island entrance or environmental fees are not included in the boat price.
Can we choose where the boat goes?
Partly. Because the boat is private, you can discuss stops and timing with your captain. The route still has to stay within permitted navigation areas and safety requirements, and the captain confirms the final route on the day based on weather and sea conditions.
Is snorkeling equipment included?
Yes. Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are included, along with a snorkeling stop at a suitable Red Sea reef chosen by the captain for the day's conditions. If you have your own mask that fits well, you are welcome to bring it. Non-swimmers can snorkel wearing a life jacket.
Are children allowed on the speedboat?
Yes, children are welcome, subject to the boat's safety requirements. They must follow the captain's instructions and wear life jackets when required. Please tell us your children's ages when you book so the right life jackets and snorkel gear are on board.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included unless it is part of the package you select. Bottled water or soft drinks are provided according to the boat arrangement. If you want lunch on board, ask us about the custom private boat trip, where lunch can be arranged.
