Hurghada Boat Trip Prices 2026: What You Pay for Shared Trips, Private Boats and Speedboats

What does a boat trip in Hurghada really cost? Our price table, the difference between per-person and per-boat pricing, and a checklist for any quote.

How much does a boat trip in Hurghada cost?

At Divers Trips a shared full-day island or snorkeling boat trip costs €45 per person, a glass boat or semi-submarine trip starts from €30 per person, and a private speedboat costs €250 per boat. Private boat prices are quoted on request, because they depend on the boat and the program.

The table below lists our current prices, observed on 5 October 2026. A shared trip is one boat sold seat by seat to many guests.

Is the price per person or per boat?

It depends on the product, and mixing the two is the most common reason quotes look incomparable. Shared trips are priced per person. Private boats are priced per boat, so the cost per head falls as the group grows. Always ask which unit a number refers to.

Per-person cost on a private boat is simple division: boat price divided by guests. Our €250 speedboat works out as follows if the boat takes that many guests (the maximum depends on the vessel and safety rules, so ask us to confirm).

Guests on the speedboatCost per person at €250 per boat
2€125.00
4€62.50
6€41.67
8€31.25

A private boat only beats a €45 shared seat per head when the group is large enough. In exchange you get your own schedule and route, which a shared trip cannot offer.

Why do two similar trips have very different prices?

Because the price tag rarely describes the same product. Hours at sea, lunch, drinks, hotel transfer, group size, the boat and separate fees all change the number. A low headline price often leaves several of these out, so compare the inclusions before the figure.

  • Hours and distance: a half day costs less than a full day, and a farther destination costs more fuel.
  • Inclusions: lunch, soft drinks, snorkel gear, guide and transfer are each a cost to the operator.
  • Group size: a large boat sells more seats, a small boat or private charter fewer.
  • Season and demand: peak weeks and holidays can change availability and price; ask for the date you want.
  • Fees: park, coast guard and environmental charges may be listed separately.

One market example shows how a headline can move. According to the Egypt Divers Orange Bay page, an 8-hour trip is €30 per person at the online rate against a €45 standard price, with children 3 to 9 at 50% and under 3 free. Its coast guard fee of €5 per person is listed as excluded (their figures, read October 2026).

What is usually included, and what costs extra?

An included item is something covered by the quoted price and not billed again on the day. On our shared trips that means hotel pickup, boat, snorkel gear, guide, lunch on board and soft drinks. Photos, personal expenses and extra activities cost extra.

Our trip pages also list any environmental or marine fees as excluded if charged separately. Separate environmental or park fees may apply; we confirm any fee after booking.

Common extras to ask about

  • Park, coast guard or environmental fees
  • Photos and videos
  • Extra water activities such as parasailing (€35 per person on our price sheet)
  • Transfers from distant hotels (Egypt Divers lists €10 to €15 per person from some areas on its own pages)
  • Lunch on private boats, unless the package includes it

How much does a private boat or speedboat cost?

Our private speedboat is €250 for the whole boat, with a captain, hotel pickup, snorkel stop, gear and life jackets. A private boat is quoted on request, because the vessel, hours, route and lunch decide the price.

On the market, private pricing is shown in many units. Egypt Divers lists a private boat for up to 9 guests at €300 for a half day of 2 to 3 hours and €600 for a full day, rising to €500 and €800 for 20 to 30 guests (their figures). Sailo says daily boat rentals in Hurghada start at $250 and average around $1,100, excluding service fees and mandatory extras (their figure).

These numbers are not comparable with our €250 unless duration, capacity, captain, fuel and lunch match. For routes and group math, see our guide to private boat trips in Hurghada.

What should you check on any quote?

Check seven things before you pay: the unit of the price, the hours, what is included, what is excluded, extra fees, the boat and group size, and what happens when weather changes the plan. If any answer is vague, ask for it in writing.

  1. Unit: per person or per boat? Child rates?
  2. Time: hotel pickup window and total hours, not only hours on the island.
  3. Included: lunch, drinks, gear, guide, transfer.
  4. Excluded: photos, extra activities, tips.
  5. Fees: park, coast guard and environmental fees, and who collects them.
  6. Boat and group: boat type and maximum guests.
  7. Weather: who decides, and what you are offered if the trip is cancelled.

Is the online price always the real price?

Not always. An online price can be a promotional rate beside a higher standard price, as on the Egypt Divers pages, where the same trip is shown at €30 online and €45 standard. Compare the final total, with fees and transfers, rather than the first figure you see.

For trips with a fixed price you see the total before you pay. For trips marked 'On request', we give you the price for your group before you pay. You pay online at booking through Paymob: you choose a 30% deposit or the full amount, and pay the rest on the morning of your trip. Our booking policy explains changes, cancellations and what happens when the weather decides.

How does Divers Trips handle this?

We publish a fixed price per person for each shared trip and a price per boat for the private speedboat. Each trip page lists what is included and excluded, and we confirm any separate fee after booking. Ask us for your date and group size.

The Orange Bay trip, snorkeling trip and glass boat or semi-submarine are the most common starting points; our island trip comparison helps you choose. Pickup is from Hurghada hotels. To book, use the booking page or contact us.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a boat trip in Hurghada per person?

At Divers Trips a shared full-day island or snorkeling trip is €45 per person, and the glass boat or semi-submarine starts from €30 per person. Child prices are on request and depend on age. Separate environmental or park fees may apply; we confirm any fee after booking.

How much does a private speedboat cost in Hurghada?

Our private speedboat costs €250 per boat, not per person. It includes the captain, hotel pickup, a snorkel stop, gear and life jackets. The maximum number of guests depends on the boat and safety rules, so ask us to confirm for your group before booking.

Why are some Hurghada boat trips much cheaper than others?

Cheaper trips often leave out lunch, drinks, transfers or fees, or run on larger boats with more guests. Hours at sea and the destination also change the cost. Compare the full list of inclusions and exclusions, and the final total, before you compare headline prices.

Is the national park fee included in the price?

On our trip pages, environmental or marine fees are listed as excluded if charged separately. Separate environmental or park fees may apply; we confirm any fee after booking. Always ask any operator whether a fee is included and who collects it.

What is the difference between per-person and per-boat pricing?

Per-person pricing charges each guest a set amount on a shared boat. Per-boat pricing charges one amount for the whole private boat, whatever the group size within capacity. To compare the two, divide the boat price by your number of guests.

What happens to the trip price if the weather changes the route?

Routes, reefs and island stops can change with weather, wind and sea conditions, and safety decisions are made by the captain. Wind-dependent activities such as parasailing may be postponed or cancelled. Our booking policy explains changes and cancellations; ask us before you pay.
