Diving prices in Hurghada look simple until you compare them. One quote covers lunch and equipment, the next charges for both. This guide splits a dive price into its components, shows what other operators publish, and gives you a checklist for judging any quote.

How much does scuba diving cost in Hurghada?

A certified diver's full day on a shared boat costs €60 per person with Divers Trips, and that price already includes two guided dives, equipment, tanks, weights, lunch, soft drinks and hotel transfers. Courses, private trips and liveaboards are priced on request because they depend on your plan. The table shows what each cost component normally covers.

What prices do other operators publish?

The operator that holds seven of the top eight results for this search, divingaround.com, publishes its figures in euros. On pages checked on 5 October 2026, it lists a full day of two dives for certified divers at €50 and a third dive at €15. These are that operator's figures, not ours, and its own pages do not agree with each other.

Read the inclusions carefully. The guide page lists marine park fees inside its package inclusions and also gives a separate per-day park fee. A €50 price with equipment and park fees extra is a different product from a €60 price with equipment included.

Why can't you compare prices in euros and dollars directly?

You cannot compare them without a dated exchange rate. A search summary of the same operator's one-day page showed dollar ranges, but that page returned a 404 error when checked on 5 October 2026, so this guide quotes no dollar figures. Every page that did open was in euros, and none stated an exchange rate or date.

If one site quotes dollars and another euros, convert both on the day you book and ask which currency you will pay in. Our prices are in euros, taken from our trip data.

What is normally included and what is not?

A fair day-trip price normally covers the boat, guide, tanks, weights and the dives themselves. Equipment, lunch, drinks, transfers and fees vary between operators, so each must be confirmed in writing. Marine park fees, photos, tips and personal expenses are the most common extras, according to the operators' own exclusion lists.

What our trips exclude

Our trip data lists these exclusions:

  • Full-day trip: personal expenses, photos and videos, activities not in the program, and marine park or environmental fees if applicable.
  • Private trip: park fees, personal equipment if not included, nitrox, photos, additional dives and personal expenses.
  • Diving safari: flights, airport transfers unless included, nitrox unless included, dive insurance, tips and park fees where applicable.

Separate environmental or park fees may apply, and we confirm any fee after booking.

How much do courses, equipment and extras cost?

Course, private trip and liveaboard prices are on request with us, so we publish no figure. The price depends on the course, group size, boat, route, cabin type and dates. For context, divingaround.com lists PADI Open Water at €350 and PADI Advanced at €250 on its 2025 price list. Those are its figures.

For what a course involves, read our PADI Open Water course guide and the PADI courses page. Extras such as nitrox are quoted per request. On a private trip nitrox is not included by default.

What does a fair dive quote list?

A fair quote states the price per person, the currency, the number of dives and every inclusion and exclusion in writing. If any line below is missing, ask before you pay. Use this checklist on any operator, including us.

  • Price per person and the currency you will pay in.
  • Number of dives, and whether the day has one or two boat stops.
  • Guide or instructor included, and the group size.
  • Equipment listed item by item, with tanks and weights.
  • Lunch and drinks, stated yes or no.
  • Hotel transfers, with pickup confirmed after booking.
  • Marine park or environmental fees: included, or extra and how much.
  • Nitrox, photos, tips and insurance: stated as extra or included.
  • What happens if weather or sea conditions change the program.
  • Certification and medical requirements for each diver.

What does a two-dive day cost for one diver?

For one certified diver on our full-day trip, the price is €60. That single figure covers the boat, guide, two dives, equipment, tanks, weights, a snorkel stop, lunch, soft drinks and hotel transfers. Anything outside that list, such as photos or a park fee if one applies, is added on top.

Worked example

LineCost
Full-day diving trip, 2 dives, one diver€60
Equipment, tanks, weights, lunch, soft drinks, transfersIncluded
Marine park or environmental fee, if applicableConfirmed after booking
Photos, videos, personal expensesExtra

Two such days at the listed price would be €120. Ask us whether a multi-day arrangement is possible. Allow time before your flight home: our guide on flying after diving explains DAN's 18-hour minimum after multiple dives.

Why do prices differ so much between dive centres?

Prices differ because the packages differ. One centre may count only the boat and tanks, while another adds equipment, lunch, drinks and transfers. Group size, the boat and the sites visited also change the cost. That is why a lower headline price is not proof of a lower final bill.

How does Divers Trips handle this?

We list inclusions and exclusions on every trip page. The full-day diving trip is €60 per person with the inclusions above. The private diving trip and the Red Sea diving safari are on request. Send your dates, certification and logged dives through our booking page or contact us, and we reply with the program and final price.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a day of scuba diving in Hurghada?

Our full-day trip is €60 per person for two guided dives, equipment, tanks, weights, lunch, soft drinks and hotel transfers. On pages checked on 5 October 2026, divingaround.com lists a certified two-dive day at €50. Check each quote's inclusions before comparing the totals.

Is equipment included in the price?

On our full-day trip, yes: equipment, tanks and weights are included in the €60. Other operators differ. One divingaround.com guide page lists equipment rental at €10-€15 per day extra. Always ask for equipment to be listed item by item in writing.

Do I pay a park fee on top?

Separate environmental or park fees may apply. We confirm any fee after booking, and our trip data lists marine park or environmental fees, if applicable, as not included. One operator page quotes about €5-€10 per day, which is its figure, not ours.

How much do diving courses cost in Hurghada?

Our course prices are on request because they depend on the package. Divingaround.com lists PADI Open Water at €350 on its 2025 price list, which is its figure. Our Open Water course guide explains what a course involves.

Why are some Hurghada dive prices in dollars?

Some sites quote dollars and others euros, often without a date for the exchange rate. The pages checked on 5 October 2026 were all in euros. Convert on the day you book, and ask which currency you will pay in. Our published prices are in euros.

What is the cheapest way to dive in Hurghada?

The cheapest headline is not always the cheapest day. Add equipment, lunch, transfers and fees to any low quote and compare the totals. For certified divers, a day trip with everything listed, like our €60 full-day trip, is the easiest to compare.
